Ms. Michelle Martinaglia, B. Sc., (SA Reg.), HPC reg.

Michelle is a passionate and dedicated speech-language therapist who finds great joy in helping individuals improve their communicative abilities. Her journey in this field began in South Africa, where she was fortunate to be born and raised. In 2018, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Pathology (Speech-Language Pathology) with Honors from the prestigious University of Pretoria, equipping her with a solid foundation and comprehensive understanding of speech and language disorders.

Throughout her career, Michelle has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, each presenting unique speech and language challenges. However, her true passion and primary interest lie in working with the pediatric and school-aged population. This focus enables her to fully engage and cater to the specific needs of children during crucial stages of their development.

Michelle has gained valuable experience by working full-time at a school that caters to learners with neurological and specific learning difficulties, including ADHD, ADD, ODD, Dyslexia, Autism, and Epilepsy. In this setting, she collaborated closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each learner reached their full academic potential through a holistic approach.

Additionally, Michelle has gained practical experience by working part-time in the private sector, where she has diagnosed, treated, and monitored the progress of pediatric and school-aged populations with various disorders. This experience includes working with speech sound disorders, disfluency, language and language learning disorders childhood apraxia of speech, aphasia, as well as complex language disorders such as children with down syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy.

Michelle is dedicated to providing individualized and effective therapy that fosters communication skills, boosts confidence, and enables children to reach their full potential. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being and progress of her young clients shines through in every interaction, making a significant and lasting impact on their lives. She ensures that each session is not only productive but also fun and engaging, keeping the goals in mind to create a positive and enriching experience for her clients.
